The stone is NOT actually a Jasper, as it is formed by fibrous calcite and high levels of sulfur. The yellow color is formed by the crystal Realgar while the black bands are formed by the crystal Pyrite. Wash hands after handling due to the high levels of sulfur in the crystal.
